Tranzwatching in Gold Coast City, Australia

The Queensland State Budget announced this week allocates $1.8  billion for transport infrastructure projects including further funding towards the Gold Coast light rail project.  Interestingly the full amount of the project's first leg - 13 kilometres - appears to have has risen from $980 million to just under $1.2 billion, moving towards a real cost of $100 million per kilometre.

Here is the amount reported in a long list of projects in the Gold Coast news
